Meet the Year 7&8 team who provide fantastic opportunities to our senior students as they prepare for High School. With a high focus on relationships and managing their own learning you can rest assured your tamariki will leave Carisbrook ready to take on the world!

Ashleigh and Paul: They are very experienced teachers and have joined us as Team Leaders and teacher of Rūma Rata.  

Ash has over 10 years teaching experience and is the lead teacher of the Arts curriculum. Ashleigh is also the staff representative for the Board of Trustees. Ashleigh was a student teacher at Caversham School before the merger and has been at Carisbrook School since the beginning. She plays a key role in supporting staff and students making sure that they are connected and ready for today’s modern learning environments. She is involved in many curriculum areas such as literacy, creating the school’s productions and helping support student teachers from the University of Otago with their practicum programmes. She enjoys teaching this year group as they have great energy, enthusiasm and excitement for their own learning. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, traveling and fitness and well-being as much as possible.

Lisa has come back to us this term as our STEM Teacher providing the technology programme in Rūma Kahikatea. Lisa has come in to our school to continue the position that Lauren held for this year. Lisa is a big believer in the power of 21st century learning and has a passion for supporting children in navigating the ever changing technology around them. She will continue to lead Carisbrook towards implementing the new Digital Technology Curriculum and is looking forward to working with staff across all levels and getting to know their students. She is passionate about building strong relationships with the people she spends time with.
