Carncot Independent School

Week 9 ... and looking ahead to Week 10

From the Principal's Desk ...

We have another great selection of articles to share with you this weekend, as we reflect back on yet another busy week, full of many opportunities for our pupils, at Carncot School!

Looking ahead to next week, trials for our winter sports codes continue, and the important Term 1 formal parent/teacher/pupil three-way interviews take place. Please make sure that you have booked an interview time with your child's teacher(s).

On Wednesday evening I am hosting what has become another important annual event, the Principal's Forum for families who have joined the school over the preceding 12-month period. With so many families joining Carncot at the beginning of this year, the Forum this year will have a lot of attendees!

Following on from the recent parent survey regarding second-language learning at Carncot, children now have received flyers advertising two Term 2 Friday language club options. If your child wishes to join one of these language clubs (Spanish or French), please complete and return the response form early this coming week. I wish to thank all of the parents who responded to the survey. There was a wide range of language options put forward! And while we will not be able to offer each and every one in the terms ahead, it is pleasing to be able to offer these first two options for Term 2. The future viability of additional options such as these is dependent on the response to our first trial. As always, further feedback and suggestions are encouraged.
