Carncot Independent School

Week 6 ... and looking ahead to Week 7

From the Principal's Desk ...

We have enjoyed meeting our short-stay Vietnamese pupils this week! Bao Van, Quoc, Hieu, Bao Anh and Tam Anh ... along with their teacher, Ms Hang ... have quickly settled into Carncot routines, enjoying the first of their four-week kiwi experience. Thank you to the Bowness, Gore, Sorrell and Whittfield families for their great work as homestay families. Next week, we will meet another girl who is staying with Caroll Squire and Vicky.

Please watch for Pae Tamariki details coming home next week. All of our pupils have been putting in maximum effort as our rehearsal schedule builds up towards next Friday's 10.15am kapa haka performance at the Regent. Parents and friends are encouraged to come along.

All pupils are needed at school by 8am next Friday, as buses will leave promptly at 8.15am to ensure that we are seated for the official powhiri at 8.45. Parents can chose to meet us there then, and join us while we watch some other schools performing first, or time your arrival for the Carncot performance at 10.15.

Finally, we wish all of our Year 7&8 and Year 5&6 representative cross country runners all the very best for their interschool races this coming week!
