Carncot Independent School

Week 9 ... and looking ahead to Week 10

From the Principal's Desk ...

After four busy weeks, yesterday we farewelled Quoc, Bao Van, Bao Anh, Hieu and Tam Anh as they now leave us to return to their homes and schools in Vietnam. We have enjoyed hosting them, and we have learnt a lot from each other. Many thanks are extended to the Carncot home-stay families who provided excellent care for our guests.

Our thoughts now turn to the final week of Term 2. After much work, our Year 5 - 8 classes have their science fair projects to present to our panel of visiting scientists on Tuesday. I hope that you are able to make some time to visit the exhibits, which the children are very proud of!

Do keep a watch out for the mid-year pupil progress reports coming home with the children on Friday, summarising the work of the first two terms. While parent-teacher interviews are not scheduled at this time as a matter of course, teachers will be very happy to make a time to suit if you wish to follow with a meeting in the new term.

Following a two-week holiday break, we look forward to welcoming everyone back to school for Term 3, on Monday 23rd of July.
