Chloe Johnson and Alexis Grande share their cheerleading success in Auckland!

On August 24th and 25th Chloe Johnson and Alexis Grande attended the 'Cheerbrandz Olympia' competition up in Auckland.

It was a fantastic weekend filled with so many learning opportunities, as there was a high display of expertise and hard work across the board and this was phenomenal to see amongst all the gyms attending this competition. 

On Saturday Canterbury pride Sassykats hit the floor and came away with zero deductions with an award winning performance (30% of the score is taken from day one). Day 2 Sunday saw the girls excited and nervous at the same time, they took the floor not knowing what to expect but with grit and determination hit every stunt to the best of their ability. 

As the day drew to an end, there was much anticipation to see where the placement was for our team. I knew our team 'Sassykatz' had shown such great spirit and sportsmanship, we were overcome with joy not only winning first place in our level and a bid to Hawaii but came off winning grand champions of their division.
