In assembly on the 26th of June 2018 Sam Hicks received the Sir Peter Blake Young Leader Award, for leadership and courage. Sam received this reward from Christina, a representative from Westpac.

Sam never thought he would receive this prestigious award.  When he went on stage he felt used to it and pretty amazed and he said it felt pretty hard just to smile. When Sam got his award he felt great and proud to be standing on the stage in front of 400 people. He received a medal, certificate, badge, flyers and a pair of Sir Peter Blake’s lucky red socks.  Sam will frame his medal and certificate so that he can show his friends and family his achievements.
