Youthtown

Henry Goodall and Flynn Lawton —

In Week Three Casebrook has been privileged enough to have Youthtown come to teach us fun and enjoyable games. The people that run Youthtown are Chris and Sarah. We learn games such as T-ball and Tanfina and many more. This is a really great opportunity because it builds leadership and teamwork. We interviewed Baxter Robinson-Kennard from Room 12 to see what he thinks about Youthtown.

What do you like about Youthtown?

I like that everybody works together and has fun regardless of what sport they're playing, as some people might not like for instance when we play T-ball if people didn’t like it, they still had a really great time playing it.

What do you find great about the exercises that we do with Youthtown?

I like that they engage everybody because they're not really hard things like do 500 push-ups, and they’re really fun exercises but they're still burning off energy, and making you lose calories and you have fun doing fitness. It's also team building cause everybody loves it.

When you go to high school would you like to continue doing Youthtown?

It would be pretty fun but I think when you get to school you're going to have a lot of things to do, a lot of things on your plate. So you might not be able to balance out the time but if I do have enough time to do it I would because it’s really fun.

What are the main benefits of doing youth town?

I think it gives you a sense of time when there wasn't electronics and everyone's not concerned about Instagramming this or that and playing Fortnite and Minecraft and stuff like that.
