Tēnā Koutou Kātoa - Tōtaranui Kāhui Ako Culture Evening A Great Success.

Sharon Keen —

Last Thursday Casebrook hosted the schools in our Kāhui Ako, Bishopdale, Cotswold, Papanui Primary, Northcote, Redwood and Papanui High along with a number of our ECEs. The whānau of our students turned out in large numbers and really supported the performances. Thank you to staff from all schools for assisting with both the organisation of the students and the cooking and serving of the kai. A special thank you to Trina Wilkinson for the overall organisation.

Thank you to all of our community members who have made a submission regarding the proposed Casebrook School Zone.  The community is certainly indicating the need for areas B, C and D to be shared and that North Canterbury has access to Intermediate schooling.  If you still wish to make a submission the link is here https://www.casebrook.school.nz/about/casebrook-enrolment-scheme/

End of year functions are fast approaching.  If your child is Year 8 please remember that there can only be a maximum of two adults accompanying them to the Prize Giving.  We have had to move the event to St Albans Baptist Church, 64 McFaddens Road due to our school hall being refurbished and the venue has a maximum capacity of 500 people.  Numbers will be tight for both Years 7 & 8.

The Year 8 formal is going to be held at Papanui Youth Development Trust Building, 1a Harewood Road.  Tickets can be purchased from the school office.  We do encourage all Year 8 students to attend as this is their last Casebrook event.

Ensure your child has returned their Big Day Out permission form as this will assist us with our organisation. There is no cost involved with these days.

Please be in contact if you have any questions or concerns around the transition of your child either into our school, from Year 7 to Year 8 or moving on to High School.

We look forward to seeing you at our end of year celebrations.
