Tēnā Koutou Kātoa - Sporting competition and Talent Days make for a nice break in routine.

Sharon Keen —

Casebrook has had over 120 students venture out over three days to various venues around the city and in Ashburton, to take part in a wide range of sporting codes. There have been teams at Hockey, Netball, Football, Table Tennis, Basketball, Badminton and Rugby 7's. I would like to congratulate all the students for playing hard and showing great sportsmanship. Thank you to the teachers for their support and training, along with a big thank you to Mr Tom Straker who had the overall responsibility for Casebrook's engagement in the tournament.

The students remaining at school have also had a great time as they have been engaged in Talent Days.  There was a wide range of options and each student selected a different one each day.  Mr Nick Leith had the unenviable job of sorting the groups. Again, congratulations to our students for engaging so positively and thank you to all the staff who offered a remarkable range of activities.

Next week was to be our Variety Show performances.  However, due to the uncertain times we are living in we had to make a call prior to the lighting being installed in the hall.  We are still going to have the students perform during the day but it will be to each other on Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday we have organized for the entire event to be videoed.  This will be uploaded onto our website as soon as possible.  Please take the time to watch it with your child as they have enjoyed the dancing and are proud of what they have achieved.  Thank you to Mrs Gen Feron for her coordination of the show and great flexibility.

We intend to award our Casebrook Challenge badges next week but will only have our students in the audience.  Thank you to the many of you that have continued to ensure your child has completed sufficient tasks to achieve a gold badge.

This is the final newsletter for Term Three. Enjoy the break time and keep safe.  We look forward to working together next term.
