Tuesday 18th August: Casebrook FC had a tough game against Cobham A and unfortunately went down 1-0 in the first half. Despite going down they persevered in the second half and Jayden got one back for FC. Because of Cobham’s late bus the game was only 30 minutes long and it finished 1-1. Man of the match goes to Adam who was very solid at the back. Casebrook always finds themselves making a comeback in the second half and were unlucky with a couple of shots that would have put them in the lead.

Tuesday 18th August: This week the Casebrook United football team played against Heaton with a halftime score of 2-0 to the opposition. With a determined attitude, the Casebrook team upped their game in the second half and Grayson scored an awesome goal for our team. Well done to Oliver Festing who was player of the day. Heaton still took the win with a final score of 3-1.

Casebrook Wanderers

Tuesday 11th August: After last week’s bye, the Casebrook Wanderers were looking forward to their game against Chisnallwood. Our heroes started off strong with an early goal, but just couldn’t hold on to their lead, conceding a goal. Soon after that, Chisnallwood scored another one to make it 2-1. Jayden looked to equalise and did so! Just as the Wanderers were about to congratulate him, the opposing team told the ref that the ball had gone out before we had scored. They got their way and the score remained unchanged. Chisnallwood put an extra one into the goal to seal the win.

The final whistle went and the players trudged off the pitch.

Oh, well. There’s always next week!

Tuesday 18th August: The Casebrook Wanderers were supposed to play their next game in the Hagley football tournament, however, the opposition didn’t show up (we think this was a COVID related Level 2 muck up). Instead, the Casebrook Wanderers played a friendly 6 v 6 game against each other. Eventually, they found a team from St Thomas (it was their A team!) who also didn’t have anyone to play against so they played a short game. The end result was a tie and the player of the day went to Elliot who playing brilliantly as the goal-keeper.
