Introducing our Kapa Haka and Pasifika Leaders for 2023

Nick Leith —

Our cultural leaders are a hugely important part of our student leadership team. We asked our leaders some questions about what they are into and love about our school.

1) What do you love about Casebrook?

2) What are you looking forward to most about the year ahead?

3) What things do you like to do in your spare time?

4) Which special talents do you have?

1) I love the cultural opportunities and the nice teachers.

2) I'm looking forward to Tūhono and the cultural festival so we can perform as a school.

3) In my spare time I like to watch movies or hang out at Northlands with my mates.

4) A special talent I have is I can sing pretty good waiata and play rugby.

Jordan Mayes is also a leader of our Kapa Haka group but has been away ill this week.

 1) I love the environment, the teachers and the students, and how they make me feel safe and make me laugh in any situation, especially my teacher!

2) I am aiming to enjoy leading the Pasifika group to greatness and getting awards and setting goals for my year. I'm also really looking forward to all the trips and opportunities - no wonder we call our school the school of opportunity!

3) In my spare time, I really like to hang out with my friends and family and I really like to read too.

4) A special talent I have is an ability to speak in front of big crowds and I can also sing!
