Casebrook A Football Team Season Report

Nick Leith —

Our Hagley A teams season came to a close with a tense victory to come 3rd in our division.

Match Report: On Tuesday Casebrook's Football A team played against Chisnallwood C. This was our final game. We started off pretty well and scored a goal early through Haroon Zeb. We couldn't score a goal for a while until a cross came in for Angus McIntyre, he didn't hit it well but the keeper fumbled it and we were up 2 - 0.

We were getting close to half time and our defence switched off for a bit which gave their striker a 1 on 1 with the keeper and he scored. They were back in the game. The whistle blew.

The second half started and we kept up our good work. We passed it around well and eventually we got a goal from a cross where Ben scored a goal off his knees. We were looking safe to win the game. Then we conceded a goal which made it 3 - 2. This made it much closer. We managed to keep Chizzy out for the rest of the game which gave us the win. 3 - 2. We played really well but just couldn't finish off all of our chances.

Man of the Match : Jake Kingsland

Season Report:

This season has been great. We were in the top division at the start and had lots of close losses. We got moved down and as well as keeping up our good football we got some results as well. The team has really gelled together throughout the season and everyone has really enjoyed it. Overall I think we have had a brilliant season.

We are looking forward to the Koru Games in Week 9 of the term to test our team once again.

Goal Scoring Stats:

Haroon Zeb - 8

Jake Kingsland - 6

Angus McIntyre, Jackson Bond  - 3

Ben Smith, Ryan Hann,  Aaron McBride - 2
