Happy New Year to our students, parents, and the wider Casebrook Community!

Christine Gillard —

To our year 7 students from last year, a big welcome back for another action-packed year at Casebrook Intermediate as our 2017 senior students of Year 8.

To those incoming Year 7 students this year, we’re very excited to welcome you to our ‘School of Opportunity’.  As a Board of Trustees, we believe you’ve made a great decision to come to Casebrook Intermediate, and can’t wait to see you all embrace the many opportunities that our school offers. With options across a wide range of Sporting pursuits, or our well respected Performing Arts programmes, and our very strong Kapa Haka presence, these are just a few of the many opportunities we have on offer.

We strongly encourage our new Year 7 students (and our Year 8’s as well) to get involved in as much as you can! History tells us that those who get involved across the school enjoy the many personal rewards of doing so.

For 2017 we have introduced a dedicated Digital room and learning programme, which will be led by Mrs Shona Kelleher.  We cannot escape the reality that technology plays a significant influence in how our world now operates, and at Casebrook Intermediate we have embraced this reality through this new digital programme.  We know this offers a real point of difference for our school, and provides an exciting opportunity for our students.

Please feel free to contact the school if you want to know more about our digital focus. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to wish our teachers, support staff, and our fine students across Year 7 and 8, a very happy and productive 2017.  Our Board, in collaboration with Sharon Keen (Principal), Nick Leith (Deputy Principal) and the rest of our Senior Leadership team and teachers, are committed to making sure we deliver the highest quality education to our students.

We look forward to seeing you around Casebrook Intermediate throughout 2017.

Best regards

Rhys Williams
