On Thursday 14th May a group of schools from our local area came together to talk about what would make life easier for students when moving from Primary Schools to Intermediate and from Intermediate to High School.
The forums took place at Casebrook Intermediate and Papanui High School. The students spent the morning discussing the current transition process and determining the strengths and weaknesses of it.
Students were then given the opportunity to come up with potential new ideas that would make the transitions even smoother.
The Students Forums are part of an ongoing collaboration of schools with the purpose of gathering comments from parents, teachers and students in relation to successful practices and strategies to support transition between schools.
