2018 Great KIWI Spelling Bee

Bev Bell —

The University of Canterbury is offering your child the opportunity to participate in the Great KIWI Spelling Bee. This competition takes place annually and is designed by New Zealand teachers based on the New Zealand curriculum. There will be two competitions aimed at Year 5-6 and Year 7-8 students.

The competitions are administered by the Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM) at the University of Canterbury. The competitions are open to all Year 5-8 students. The competition provides teachers, parents and students with an independent, comprehensive record of a student’s performance in key school subject areas. The supervised online tests will take place early Term 3.

Certificates will be sent to all participating students and prizes will be awarded to top students.
Entries are administered by the school. For further information, please consult the CEM website

A hard copy of this was given to all students on Wednesday 27th June.

Entries and payment need to be handed in to the school office this Friday, 29th June. No late entries will be accepted.
