On Saturday 25th of November 2023, there was a Kapa Haka competition at the town hall that some Casebrook Kapa Haka students participated in.

Thank you to our Casebrook Community for supporting this venture so well. All winners have been notified and arrangements have been made for the collection of the prizes.

The end of the school year is fast approaching, and we have a lot happening. The information attached should answer any questions about the finer details, but if not, please feel free to contact your child’s classroom teacher.

Andrew James (Room 16) has recently received his black belt.

On the 10th of November, The FLL (First Lego League) teams competed in a series of challenges which included making a Lego robot and coding it to do all of the tasks.

In the last few weeks, Room 16 have been working on their very own blackout poetry masterpieces.

On Thursday the 23rd of November the Tōtaranui Kāhui Ako Cultural Festival was held at Casebrook Te Kura Mareko Intermediate School.

Approximately 50 Casebrook students participated in the Zones Competition.

On Tuesday the 14th November we had the annual class and staff relay race! Every class selected 12 people to compete in the girls, boys and mixed relay races.

Recently at Casebrook we had an interclass basketball tournament at lunch time with all of the Year 8 classes playing last week and the Year 7’s playing this week.

On Wednesday the 22nd of November the Sport Extension group went on a Clip n’ Climb trip.

James, Jack and Jonty participated in a touch tournament in Nelson representing Canterbury over the weekend.

All library books are due back at school now.

Please send your child to check the lost property pile in Te Puna Waro if they are missing anything.

On Thursday 14th December the canteen will be selling delicious ice cream sundaes only $2 each. This will be the last day the canteen is open.

Our Year 8 students will be having a non uniform day on Thursday December 14th so that uniforms that are no longer needed can be brought into school. This enables us to offer low-cost uniforms to our families through our second hand uniform sales while also raising much needed funds. We really appreciate your contribution.
