Term 3 is a time where we have plenty of student achievements to celebrate. After all the hard work that goes into providing new opportunities and experiences for our students, to hear about student success in a Casebrook uniform puts the icing on the cake.

We are pleased to present this year’s Whole School Production – Aotearoa Bandstand. Under the tutorage of Mandy Roberts, (an experienced choreographer) every class in the school has a dance to perform as part of this year’s school production. We also have a core cast of students who have been working hard to showcase their talents. Casebrook Intermediate School productions are a great way to ensure every child in our school is part of the show.

Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes finds a small group of dedicated Lego fanatics busy building all sorts of creations.

Bronte and Ben have returned from an adventure most students don’t get to experience. A week in Korea, working alongside students from top high school and middle schools around the world, at one of Korea’s most amazing new universities in order to create an app to educate and teach science to kids around the world.

Casebrook Intermediate is hosting a parent talk with Paula Partington, a Registered Psychotherapist on the Canterbury School Based Mental Health Team.

This year Casebrook sent three teams to compete in the big comp! 

On 22nd of August, 13 people from Casebrook Intermediate went to Nunweek Park for a hockey tournament.

On Tuesday the 29th August the Year 7’s started a kickball tournament after lunch. 

Last Friday the Casebrook Kapa Haka and Korean Dance went to Cotswold to perform as part of Cotswolds Cultural Assembly.

Congratulations to all the basketball teams on a fantastic and exciting end to the season!

On Wednesday 30th August Casebrook had it’s annual Talent Day during the lunch hour. 

If your child has outgrown their uniform or if they are moving on to High School and it is no longer needed we welcome donations of second hand uniforms. We have a number of students in need of uniforms especially boys uniforms. If you have anything you would like to donate please drop these into the school office.  

The PTA is organising a raffle to be held and drawn on the evenings of ‘Aotearoa Bandstand’. We are asking for donations of grocery items for this raffle. Each class has being given a different list to try and get a good mix of goods! If you have anything else you might like to donate, which you think would make a great raffle prize it would be very appreciated! Thanks for your support. Items need to be brought to classrooms on mufti-day Friday 15 September. Please check dates, no expired or open goods can be accepted.  

On the 31st of August, Avonhead Primary School hosted the annual ODT Current Events Quiz, where 55 Year 7 & 8 teams competed against each other. 

Last Friday the Kapa Haka group went to Cotswold School to perform at their Cultural Assembly. 

Seven lucky Casebrook students have been given the opportunity to develop and run Casebrook's brand new radio station. 

A very muddy but enjoyable round of winter sport this year...

Congratulations to the students who participated in and won prizes within their categories in the recent DigiAwards competition.
