On Tuesday night Canterbury school Rock Bands performed in the regional Bandquest competition. The Casebrook entry 'Exit', composed of Sam Hicks, Dylan Webb and Hekeawai McDermott provided us with a fantastic performance, taking away first place. Sam also sharing the best vocalist award. The band will now compete in the National Competition. We will be watching their progress with interest.

At the end of Term 2 we farewelled Mr McBride from Casebrook. This term we welcome Miss Aitken. She is the new teacher in Room 14 and we asked her some questions about herself.

On Wednesday the 1st of August Casebrook held our annual open night. We caught up with Hekeawi McDermott (head boy) and Mr Leith to see how they thought it went.

This year we have had massive number of students receiving Casebrook Challenge badges. We questioned some of the people who have completed super challenges so far this year.

This year the basketball teams at Casebrook have had successful seasons. As their final games approach, we caught up with Mr Foster and Cooper Siave to get their thoughts on the basketball season.

Recently the Casebrook Playground has undergone some refurbishments and is looking pretty flash. We caught up with caretaker Bevan Stace to ask some questions about the playground. One of the big upgrades was repairing the flying fox, which had been broken for a number of years.

If you would like to try the yummy cheese rolls made in the canteen we are taking orders but only until September 19th .

During November the PTA will be running a Christmas raffle and also a movie fundraiser so we are reaching out to our community for help obtaining prizes for the raffle and items for the movie goodie bags.
