We wish our A & B Water Polo Teams all the very best for this weekend.  They have had many successes in our local competition and now face teams from across the South Island - as well a having to play in the dive well of Moana Pool.  (Christchurch has yet to replace such facilities.) Thank you very much to Emily Mordue and Mark Russell who will be travelling with the team, as well as the many parents and families making a long weekend of the competition.

On behalf of the Redwood-Papanui cluster of schools we welcome you to a community evening and celebration of our students’ wonderful achievements this year. This event will involve performances from a number of schools in the cluster and several enjoyable and entertaining activities for students to participate in. There will be a huge range of performances on display to entertain our wonderful community involving song, dance, instrumental and cultural items.

This is a great event running over two nights. There will be something on display from every student in the school.                                      

During the last school holiday break I was fortunate enough to travel with an agent, two parents, eight Year 8 students and one Year 7 student from Casebrook and Cobham to China and Korea for the full two week break. 

Last Friday saw Casebrook filled with super heroes, the military, book characters and chefs as our school supported the Make a Wish Foundation nationwide appeal.

Due to some poor weather this week we have been forced to postpone Athletics day and Top Team events. Parents are most welcome to join us on these days to support our students.

ICAS Mathematics Test results have been announced. 

If your child is moving on to High School and you have worries or concerns about the transition, Casebrook is able to answer your questions and provide additional support for your child. 

Congratulations to our students who achieved their badges for earning 20 REP cards in one of our three expectations of RESPECT, EXCELLENCE and PERSEVERANCE. 

Get into the Christmas spirit early, wear your Santa hat and bring along a donation for the PTA Christmas raffle.

On Tuesday 10th November students will bring home a book of ten raffle tickets. Tickets are $2 each or $20 for a book and we have some awesome prizes up for grabs. Please support this fundraiser by selling tickets to family and friends. If you do not wish to sell tickets please return the tickets as quickly as possible so that they can be sold by other families. Please keep track of your tickets as they have been allocated by number to each student and are marked off on their return to school.  All sold ticket stubs and money needs to be returned to school by Friday 4th December. The raffle will be drawn on Tuesday December 8th with winners contacted by phone and results published on the school website. A $50 Northlands Mall voucher will be presented to the top seller in both Year 7 and 8 .
