We were very honoured to be given the opportunity for our Kapa Haka to open last weeks conference.  We were all incredibly proud of them and thank Matua Willie, Whaea Tania, Mr Dan Leys and many other staff members for their support in preparing the group and getting them to the venue for an early start.

Congratulations to our 24 raffle winners listed below. Thank you to everyone that donated items and purchased tickets. It was great to see so many students wearing Easter themed costumes on mufti day. We raised over $2000 and this will be put towards our hall refurbishment. Our next PTA fundraiser will start the first week of term two with students bringing home a box of Cadbury chocolate bars to sell if you do not wish your child to bring home chocolates please let the office know by Monday 1st May. 

Final Year 7 Adventure Activity: Trek

17 of our top swimmers competed in the AIMS swimming competition at Selwyn Aquatic Centre last week. 

Big day at the office for Dylan at the Huxter MTB race on Friday with a very heavy track after the rain.  Great time with friends and huge support by everyone.

The Casebrook Kapa Haka group were honoured with the task of opening the Delving Deeper conference last Thursday morning.

This year Casebrook softball looked very sharp and played like an actual softball team, with the results to prove it.

The purpose of the Science Badge programme is to extend and enrich students in science at Level 3 and 4 of the New Zealand Curriculum. Students have the opportunity to study a specific science topic of their choice, in depth. By completing a range of graded activities and exercises, students receive an attractive badge and certificate

Giving you a bit of an idea as to what has been going on in the Science Room this past term.

A collection of the school's budding writers spent two days working on writing skills and knowledge, culminating in an interview with a school employee and reporting on it.

On Tuesday the 4th of April we had an interview with Bevan, our Casebrook School caretaker.

Mr Singh is a RTLB, a Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour, who works at Casebrook Intermediate School and around the city at other schools. 

Mr Cook is the Hard Materials teacher at Casebrook Intermediate and teaches students really cool, creative and useful projects.

On Tuesday the 4th of April we interviewed Miss Cooper to find out about the things she does out of school and what she does in her job.

We interviewed Mrs Gilmour.  She is a Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour at Casebrook Intermediate School. 

On Tuesday the the fourth of April we interviewed Mr Russell, he is our school curriculum support and student wellbeing co-ordinator.

On Tuesday the 4th of April, we were privileged to interview Lynda Sides-Garland. Here’s what we found out:

On the 4th of April, we set off to interview Mrs. Aldwell. The interview lasted 10 minutes, in which time we tried to gather as much information as possible.

Mrs Dick-McCann, our school Food Technology teacher was born and raised in Napier, Hawkes Bay.

Mr Stribling is the classroom teacher for Room 14 at our school and he is also the Yr 8 coordinator. 

After completing the main project this semester in the Hard Materials Room the Year 7 groups have made...periscopes!

Canteen specials in Term Two: Baked Potatoes, Bacon and egg rolls and Beef  Nacho's along with ever popular Sushi and Potato wedges still on the menu. 

I don't know why I chose to do the shave for a cure.  But what I do know is that I'm doing it for a very good cause.
