Our Year 8 Wainui camps and Year 7 adventure days are well underway, the weather has caused some interruptions but nothing like many of our North Island schools and Whānau are experiencing.

At Casebrook we like to thank our parents who can help out with camps, surfing and the trek by shouting them some drinks and nibbles...

Jake Bailey is a full-time public speaker, the youngest #1 bestselling author in New Zealand history, a passionate educator on the power of resilience and he is coming to Casebrook.

Jean is a retired biology teacher who visited Casebrook on Tuesday 21st February.

My name is Kirstin and I am the allocated Public Health Nurse for your school. I work within a team of Public Health Nurses.

Here's an update on our amazing canteen!

Our Year 7's have been at school for three weeks now. I interviewed some students to see what they think so far and what they have been doing to get involved!

Rooms 9 and 10 went surfing on Monday 13th February. The other Year 7 classes were also supposed to go last week but were unable to due to the weather! They will get to go soon.

Miss Rae was teaching at Casebrook last year but this year she has her own classroom (Room 14). We interviewed Miss Rae to get to know more about her!

Miss Pulman is new to Casebrook this year. We interviewed her to learn more about her.

Mr Kirk is a new teacher at Casebrook this year. He is in Room 3. We interviewed Mr Kirk to learn a bit about him!

Lost property is kept in Te Puna Waro and students can go at check there at any time that is convenient for their teachers. There are some new items from the trek on Tuesday, please check the photos. I have also photographed labels on clothing that I cannot read or are of students that are no longer here.

The Casebrook Canteen is open at morning tea and lunchtime Monday - Friday. Lunch orders are placed in the hall at morning tea time. We have some delicious daily specials available each day, including Sushi on Wednesdays. The canteen prices are great value for money and an easy way to ensure your child has a nutritious lunch.

Interface is the leading digital technology magazine in education in New Zealand. Casebrook recently had an article published covering the work we do with Lego Sumo Robotics.

XRACE is a fun-filled family event - where mum or dad must team together with one of the kids and take on the XRACE course and 10 mystery challenges.

The access to period products initiative aims to provide free period products to children and young people in all state and state-integrated schools and kura across New Zealand.

The teachers union (NZEI) has called a round of paid union meetings - Casebrook staff will attend one on Thursday 2nd March. This is the least disruptive option for our school.

There are currently some second hand uniform items available for purchase through the school office.
