The classrooms and LRC are looking fantastic as the entire block has had a total make over. Now to the task of emptying the containers and moving our students back in. An exciting time. As soon as we have settled in we will invite you to come and view the learning spaces in action.

This experience is an important part of establishing our student leadership team culture - working together to make Casebrook a place where students have a powerful and active voice.

A parent information evening will be held from 6.30pm to 8.00pm on Monday 7th of May in the staffroom.

On Mondays Mr McBride takes rough play. Rough play is when you play different contact sports for example, Bullrush and Rugby League.

The purpose of the Science Badge programme is to extend and enrich students in science at Level 3 and 4 of the New Zealand Curriculum. Students have the opportunity to study a specific science topic of their choice, in depth. By completing a range of graded activities and exercises, students receive an attractive badge and certificate.

The first digi semester for Year 7 students has come to an end.

We would like to say a big thank you to CERT for funding 3 new ovens in the Food Technologies Room. The old ovens were in need of replacement and it is great to receive the funds to be able to do this. We would also like to thank Noel Leemings for giving us a great price for the replacements.

Instalment # 3 from Thomas Kenna (Rm 10)

Some Casebrook Intermediate students got the opportunity to participate in the Canterbury Swimming Sports, competing against 12 other schools.

On Friday 6th of April a group of Casebrook students went to Parklands Reserve to take part in the termly Super 10’s tournament. The tournament is hosted by Youthtown. Youthtown teach us about teamwork and respect.

Canteen specials in Term Two: Baked Potatoes, Bacon and egg rolls and Beef or Vege Lasagne along with ever popular Sushi and Potato wedges still on the menu. We will also have hot chocolates for those cold winter days only $1.50 each.

Book the babysitter, round up your friends and come along to quiz night. Everyone welcome, test your general knowledge while raising much needed funds for the school. Spot prizes, raffles, fancy dress optional (prize for best dressed). This is a great night not to be missed.

Our annual chocolate fundraiser started this week with students bringing home a pack of 30 bars. Thank you to our amazing community we really appreciate your support in making this fundraiser a success. We cant do this without your help.
