The purpose of the Science Badge programme is to extend and enrich students in science — at Levels 3 and 4 of the New Zealand Curriculum.

This Friday we are holding a special ANZAC assembly to commemorate the centenary of the ANZAC's landing on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey.

Hayley Johns (Term 1, Art Teacher), entered the our students into the competition, which encouraged them to submit photos, drawings and descriptions of their favourite outdoor places around New Zealand. 

Thank you to The Mad Butcher in Shirley who  donated sausages and bacon for our Painting Bee. 

The library was recently gifted some Eeny Meeny points that were spent on getting a Giant Jenga set, so far it has proven to be very popular in the library — played on floor level of course to keep the noise down ☺

Congratulations Cavendish House! As winners of the Term One house challenge, Cavendish House members will receive a free mufti day. The date of this will be announced soon. 

Casebrook started the year strongly with 226 students earning badges with the majority of those students earning a gold badge. 

We asked our Kapa Haka leaders what they loved about Casebrook, what they were looking forward to in 2015, and what they liked to do in their spare time.

Girls should now be wearing black knee length socks or tights.

We would like to introduce our Youth Leaders supporting our students in the School Community.

Last term Casebrook had a school-wide Cricket World Cup competition. The semi-finals were between Rooms 9 and 11 and Rooms 8 and 10. The final was held on the last week of the term between Rooms 9 and 10. Room 9 won the Cricket World Cup by 21 runs, scoring 77 runs to Room 10’s 56 runs.
