Last week was our school Cross Country, our first sporting event for some time. It was great to see so many parents and whanau here, even if you had to line up along the fence. Special thank you to Mr Tom Straker for his organization.

We would like to invite you and your child to meet with your child’s teacher for a conference about their learning to date in 2020. This is an opportunity for you to listen to your child and their teacher talk about, and show you the learning that has taken place and discuss future steps for learning in 2020.

Just a short list this week, yay. Remember to get your child to check the lost property if they are missing anything.

We have now had some dates confirmed for Term 3 and 4 sport. These are listed below and will be on our Sports Page on the school website. These may still change but will give you some idea of what we have coming up.

Our new Sports Shed and Shack is up and running. Classes are enjoying using gear during PE sessions and students are enjoying hiring gear to use at breaktimes.

The Casebrook pizza is very popular and are made fresh each day. We have a range of flavours available including Vegetarian, Butter chicken, Bbq chicken, Meatlovers, Hawaiian, Wedges, and Bacon and egg. Students can also order gluten free varieties. All only $3 each.

Book the babysitter, round up your friends and come along to quiz night. Unfortunately a number of our fundraisers have had to be cancelled or postponed but the good news is we have decided to go ahead with our Annual Quiz Night. We always have a lot of positive feedback and we think it is a great community event that is open to anyone that would like to join us.

We are looking for coaches for our Casebrook basketball teams!

Room 2 has been using a programme called WTE (Write that Essay) to help improve their writing.

Room 2 has been taking part in a Survivor challenge as part of our cross country training.

Last week we held our annual school cross country event. Well done to all those who participated.

This week we are celebrating all the hardworking support staff we have at Casebrook!

SLIME - gooey and strangely satisfying to play with. The last two long lunches (on Tuesdays) have been very creative in the library. Thanks to Hannah Jia and her assistant Ruby Cleverley from Room 15 for taking the lead in our latest workshops.

Each fortnight Casebrook Intermediate has a schoolwide REP focus to help things continue to run like clockwork around the school.

We are fundraising with Entertainment and your membership is about to expire!

Head lice or nits, are very common in kids and easily spread around school. They can be annoying but are treatable.
