Many of us have been in situations that require First Aid knowledge and so by upskilling our young people, we hope they will be confident if a situation arises and their skills are required.

Casebrook is the home of Intermediate School Football in the Northwest of Ōtautahi/Christchurch! We have five teams - four boys' teams & one girls' team. In each newsletter we will share how things have gone for our teams. A big shout out to our parent coaches, Jason Gwynne and Ben Careford and our staff coaches Charlotte Rennie, Nick Leith and Sam Broad.

Last Tuesday, twenty students who worked on the Golden Key Mentoring programme, presented their projects at the University of Canterbury.

Over the past fortnight, our REP focus at school has been using respectful language at school. Room 9 and 10 created this video to demonstrate how we can do this at Casebrook.

Last week was Support Staff Week and we were treated to a great thank you video at assembly, a special morning tea treat on Thursday, lots of amazing cards and cheerful thank you's from staff and students. It's great to be appreciated. Thanks Casebrook, I love working here.

We were super lucky to have Dave Warren and his team from the University of Otago come to Casebrook to show us some cool science experiments!

Recently we welcomed four new student teachers to Casebrook. They are at Casebrook until the end of Term 2. We went around and asked each of them a few questions to get to know them better.

Casebrook Intermediate operates a school enrolment scheme. However, Casebrook welcomes out of zone enrolments as our school capacity allows us to cater for most students interested in joining us.

Tōtaranui Kāhui Ako (7 schools and 10 Early Childhood Services in the Northwest of Christchurch) has received some funding from the Ministry of Education which they, in conjunction with Papanui Youth Development, have been able to develop a Website of Support Services available for whanau in the local area.
