25 Casebrook Student Leaders attended a two day camp hosted by Te Koru' (PYD). They had the opportunity to challenge themselves as individuals and to learn about the many qualities associated with successful leadership.  They were all amazing ambassadors for Casebrook. Well done.

In Term 2 Casebrook Intermediate School will be introducing a new lego club.

Over Easter weekend I travelled to Hamilton to compete in the National Kart Sprint Championships.

Each newsletter we will investigate an app that students at Casebrook are being spotted with on their personal phones and devices. 

This year's extra-opportunity camp experience is being planned for Wellington, in Week 9 of Term 2.

Hell Pizza Reading Challenge!

Casebrook’s first student leadership project for 2016 has set the bar extremely high! 

Some of Casebrook's top swimmers competed against other Intermediates, from across Canterbury, in selected disciplines.

Nominations are invited for the election of five parent representatives to the Board of Trustees. 

On Friday 8 April 2016 my friend Harry from my old school and I competed in the really fun Huxster three hour mountain bike relay. 

Our student leadership team have enjoyed an action-packed two days this week at the Papanui Youth Development Centre learning about, talking about and experiencing the seven habits of effective leadership.

2016 marks 50 years of Casebrook Intermediate in education!

New in the canteen in Term Two: Baked Potatoes, Beef or Vege Lasagne and Hawaiian chicken burgers along with ever popular Sushi and Potato wedges still on the menu.

Early in Term Two the PTA will be running a chocolate fundraiser. Students will bring home a box of thirty chocolate bars and they will be asked to sell these to family and friends. This is a major part of our fundraising for the year and we appreciate your support. There will be prizes for most sold and also random prizes of movie tickets. More details to come next term.

DENTAL CARE OVER THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS                                    The Community Dental Service will operate an emergency service over the school holidays. This service is to provide relief of pain only and will not undertake ‘routine’ treatment. The service will be available each working day from 8:30am until 12:30pm from the Hillmorton Community Clinic, Sylvan Street, Christchurch for the following times: Tuesday, 19th April to Friday, 22nd April (excluding weekends) and Tuesday, 26th April to Friday, 29th April (excluding weekends) This service will operate by appointment only and if we are unable to see your child, alternative options will be given. If your child has dental pain as a result of an accident please contact your dentist in the first instance. You can phone and make an appointment for the emergency clinic by ringing 0800 846 983.
