Students have returned full of enthusiasm and with a new appreciation for school, their teachers and friends. Thank you for your engagement with the 'at-home learning' during the lockdown period, there was some amazing achievements which will be displayed and celebrated over the coming weeks.

We would like to invite you and your child to meet with your child’s teacher for a conference about their learning to date in 2020. This is an opportunity for you to listen to your child and their teacher talk about, and show you the learning that has taken place and discuss future steps for learning in 2020.

We remind parents and students that the closing date for entries into the UC Kiwi Exam competition entries are due tomorrow - May 29. ICAS entries are due July 3rd.

Congratulations to our Term 1 Casebrook Challenge Gold Badge winners!

We wanted to know a little bit about what some of the Casebrook staff did while they were at home during lockdown. We decided to interview Mr Russell to find how isolation life was for him in his bubble.

On Tuesday the 26th of May we held a Scooter and Skateboard sprint challenge down our school driveway. This was held during lunchtime.

On May 29, 2020 Room 5 will be doing a challenge called Fear Factor.

We would appreciate any feedback you can share with us regarding the experiences of your child(ren) at Casebrook and your family/whānau during the COVID lockdown time that was spent learning from home.

The canteen is open again with a full menu. This week we are all about the pies with mince, mince and cheese, potato top and apple pies added to the menu.

Head lice or nits, are very common in kids and easily spread around school. They can be annoying but are treatable.

Our school cross country is next week!

The writing Room 5 is doing is called Chaperon Rouge. Chaperon Rouge is french for Little Red Riding Hood. However, it is not like the original story.

By now you should have received your child's class photo and individual photo order form.

With students taking off their jackets in class there is a chance that they may take home the wrong one, could you please check that your child has the correct jacket. If they have someone else's named jacket could it please be returned to school as soon as possible. Thank you.

Can you please pass onto your students and families that those aged 12 and under will need to have an adult with them if they are wanting to visit any Christchurch City Library at alert level 2.
