Term Two is underway at Casebrook and that means opportunities for our students to set new goals and experience Intermediate life to the full.

Term two means that girls socks change from white anklets to Black/Midnight Blue tights or Black/Midnight Blue knee high socks (Terms 2 & 3).

Last term we hosted interviews via phone and video conference. We're just keen to hear from parents & caregivers around how effective these were and thoughts on the future.

At the beginning of the holidays, Ryan and Nate Johnston shaved their heads for cancer. They ended up raising a whopping $1591 from many generous donors.

We're really excited to have Monster Music joining our school to cater for the growing number of students keen to learn guitar.

So as you may have likely seen, the front block has finally been completed and students from Rooms 1, 2, 3, and 4 have finally moved into their new classrooms. We asked students from each class a few questions about how they felt and what they liked about their new classroom.

On Saturday the 23rd of April, Sasha Millett in Room 20, competed in the GGI gymnastics competition down in Dunedin.

At Casebrook we have been having a lot of sports trials over the last couple of weeks.

Our student leadership team consists of house leaders, council, kapa haka and pasifika leaders. This newsletter we introduce the students that class teachers and their peers have selected to represent their rooms on our student council.

On the second to last week of Term One, Room 20 went on an epic trip to Papanui Bush. They were there to plant trees to help the environment as well as educational purposes.

The focus on this project is being kind to our animals and the planet.

At the end of last term, our “First 13” Rugby League team, took part in the Year 7 and 8 tournament at Nga Puna Wai.

Last term we were lucky enough to receive a heap of sports gear from our local The Athletes Foot store in Northlands Mall.

Term two we have two new specials: a delicious nacho bun and a Texas rib roll. Also still available - the ever popular sushi Wednesday and pie day Friday.
