The past six weeks have seen us move from face to face teaching to remote learning. A massive congratulations to our staff and community for embracing the shift and making it work for the wellbeing of our young people.

During the past few weeks the children who are in Hard Materials this semester have had the opportunity to develop a scale model.

We have celebrated baking as a great way to share special moments with our families during the lockdown.

Over the past three weeks during online learning, students in Science have had the opportunity to complete a range of scientific experiments at home.

Highlights of Room 7's home learning:

Our Term 2 Casebrook Challenge focuses on activities that can be completed within the comfort of your own home.

While learning has looked different for the past four weeks, Room 11 has shown perseverance when navigating the online learning world. Ensuring cameras and microphones are on, remembering passwords and supporting each other with questions and confusions, it has been a great online atmosphere.

Adapting to a new way of learning and having fun while doing it!

Room 1 students have taken the challenge of online learning in their stride. Level 4 lockdown saw our creativity spike, our time management improve and our online communication increase. While the move to alert level 3 has enabled us to satisfy our KFC cravings, Room 1 learning remains much the same.

Room 15 has been showing great perseverance during these interesting times, they are developing great working habits and have all shown that they can self manage to ensure that they are completing all of their work to a high standard.

Students in digi-tech have been using code.org to develop their coding skills.

During lockdown art students were given a range of tasks to complete from the Art Appreciation and Exploration Choice Board.

What's been happening in the Technology and Specialist areas during the Levels 3 and 4 lockdown time.

Here are some highlights of what Room 8 has been getting up to during the lockdown.

Room 4 has adjusted really well to the sudden learning change, getting used to devices, Google Hangouts, websites used, passwords and usernames, and social isolation. They have shown resilience, worked hard and made significant improvements in self-management. Lately, some have even made diaries and planners to timetable their days!
