Our Casebrook Open Night, held last Wednesday evening is an important night on the Casebrook calendar every year.

Mana Wahine is a youth leadership and self-confidence programme run by Tatiana Moana of Te Ora Hou on a Wednesday afternoon.

The Athlete's Foot, with stores in Northlands and Riccarton Malls, have been collecting $15 from every pair of shoes purchased for students or families from Casebrook Intermediate.

Our Kapa Haka led a wonderful powhiri on Wednesday to welcome our Korean delegates visiting Casebrook.

The Canterbury Primary and Intermediate Ski races are being held on Sunday 23 August 2015. This is an event where teams representing their schools participate for both individual and team awards. This fun skiing event consists of a dual slalom course for boys and girls of all age groups from Year 1 to Year 8. No previous ski-racing experience is necessary, merely sufficient skill to ride a T-bar ski lift and to ski groomed, easy slopes. There will be medals for individual performance, plus an overall team trophy for both Primary and Intermediate school teams. The emphasis is on fun, and introducing children to the excitement of ski-racing. Most of the children's time will be spent just skiing freely and enjoying other activities on the day. A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Aidan for making the New Zealand Karate Team. The team will be travelling to India to compete in September. The Storylines Christchurch Free Family Day will be held on Sunday 23 August at the Upper Riccarton Library, between 10am and 3pm.

It is not too late to purchase your Entertainment Book.   

Room 2 Maths created "gnomes for homes" during their Geometry unit. Students were required to create a home with symmetry, draw tessellations and find the perimeter of their homes. Students persevered through the work and had excellent finished products. Check out some of the pictures from their "home tour."

Students have been working towards their badge goals over the past few weeks. Challenges range from making baked goods, learning new languages, to completing a maths badge.
