Year 7's have completed their surfing days and the Port Hills Trek. These activities allow for our new students to mix informally while taking part in wonderful local events. Half the Year 8's have completed their camps. These are always regarded as a highlight of the year. Weather permitting the remaining four classes will go over the next two weeks.

The access to period products initiative aims to provide free period products to children and young people in all state and state-integrated schools and kura across New Zealand during 2022.

Our vision at Casebrook is to provide experiences that broaden and enrich the learning of our emerging adolescents.

With the current refurbishments taking place at school the library has been moved to a smaller space and now the books come to the students in their classrooms via the trusty library trolley!!

Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are the days for (non digital) games in the Digi Room. These games are in a temporary location until they can find their way back to the library space.😍

The Lost Property room is between the Foods and Digi rooms, make sure your child has checked there if they are missing any items. This room is checked regularly, named items will be returned as soon as possible and unclaimed items will appear in this fortnightly newsletter.

To support mental health, resilience and emotional wellbeing for our tamariki and rangatahi, Ministry of Health are partnering with Whāraurau to offer free online versions of the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® across the country.

Casebrook has had a great new Year 7 start to the Intermediate School year, and some of them have been interviewed about their first days of school. We asked some interesting questions about them and their time at Casebrook so far.

Over the last couple of weeks, all Year 7 classes got the chance to go to Sumner for a surfing trip.

Miss Kennedy was a classroom teacher here until early last year and is now our science teacher!

Miss Brien is a new teacher at Casebrook Intermediate.

Mr Bryden Houliston has started at Casebrook this year, teaching in Year 7.

This year the Year 8’s are going on their camping trip. We went and asked Room 5 students a few questions about their camping experience.
