Absences, Kindo - Student Accounts, Car Parking, @school App, Facebook, Sunsmart

Absences:

If your child is going to be absent from school you can either advise of their absence through the @school app, email absences@cashmere-ave.school.nz, or phone 939 4700 and leave a message on our absence line.

Kindo - Student Accounts:

Your student account is now available online through Kindo! This is now our preferred method of payment for all school related fees and donations.

Kindo allows you to view and pay for school items & voluntary donations, order lunches, register for sports, support Home & School fundraisers, & purchase event tickets.

First time users can easily create an account using the same email address that the school has on file for you.

Existing users can log in as usual – you may need to choose the Complete Setup option and link your student to see your personalised account on the home page.

Staff Carpark:

A reminder the staff carpark is for staff only, please do not turn into the driveway to drop off your children. If someone else drops or picks up your child from school, can you please let them know they should not enter the carpark. We have heard of some scary stories lately about dangerous u-turns in the staff carpark with children walking past and some near misses.

Please respect our neighbours by not parking across their driveways.

Please be safe, so our tamariki can stay safe.

@school Mobile Caregiver App:

Cashmere Avenue School uses a caregiver app called @school Mobile that provides parents with easy access to streamlined information about school and information recorded about your child. It also allows parents to easily report absences. If you need your logon information please email admin@cashmere-ave.school.nz

We will add additional functionality to the app over the next year, but we encourage you to use the app to:

• Report absences

• Read the latest newsletter

• Book Parent/Teacher Interviews

• View the school calendar

• Fill in Permission forms

• Check your child’s details, including Emergency Contacts

The app will also allow us to notify you in case of an emergency, when your child may need to be picked up early. 

Once you’ve downloaded the app, please go to settings to enable notifications to make sure you receive information from school in a timely manner. If you have any questions, please let the office know.

Facebook:

If you are on Facebook then you can 'like' the Cashmere Avenue School Facebook Page.  Our Home and School also have a Facebook page with information about upcoming events.  You can find them under 'Cashmere Avenue Home & School Committee'.

Sunsmart:

In Terms 1 and 4 all children should have a named sunhat. The children need sun hats that provide sun protection to the ears, neck and face. Bucket hats, legionnaire caps or “cricket”- style hats are all suitable. Students without a hat will need to remain in designated shade areas during intervals. Suitable hats are available at the office for $15. This can be added to your student account and we must have permission from a parent or caregiver before we sell a hat to a student.
