FAIR PLAY CODE OF CONDUCT

Cashmere Avenue School has adopted the Fair Play Code of Conduct for players, coaches and parents. The Fair Play code is designed to encourage positive attitudes about sport, setting the right tone and helping to make the game a success for everyone involved. The Fair Play scheme has separate codes of conduct for players, coaches and parents which outlines the desirable attitudes and behaviour for each group. While Cashmere Learners ‘aim for excellence’ they are also ‘empathetic, full of self-pride, respectful and considerate’. We expect all Cashmere Learners, that is students, staff and parents, to abide by the Fair Play code.

FAIRPLAY PARENTS/CAREGIVERS & SUPPORTERS

  • encourage my child and other children in their efforts in sport
  • insist that my child plays within the rules and the principles of Fair Play
  • respect my child’s efforts regardless of whether s/he has won or lost
  • display self-control on the sideline. Be positive, never shout at or ridicule players
  • watch my child play and let him/ her enjoy the game
  • show my appreciation to people who volunteer their time so my child can play and practice
  • remember that my child plays for his/her reasons not mine
  • never place undue pressure on my child to play or perform
  • give it heaps and don’t get ugly

FAIRPLAY CHILD

This is the children’s code of conduct which we expect all team members to abide by when representing our school.

  • play by the rules
  • never argue with an official
  • work hard to do my best at all times
  • turn up to training
  • be a good sport and recognise good
  • athletes and good skills by all involved
  • remember to thank my coaches, the
  • officials, the other athletes and supporters
  • support others in my team when I can
  • avoid putting people down or bullying them
