Hybrid Learning

Admin Cashmere —

How hybrid learning works in the senior syndicate.

In the Senior Syndicate the children engage in learning in a variety of ways. This may be at school or at home, through working and connecting with the teacher in person or via email etc, or independently accessing the resources and applications they need digitally.

Each teacher has set up WorkSpaces, using an application called Hapara, where the children can be directed to learning resources and activities that will help them develop the skills and understanding they need. The children can submit work and the teachers can provide relevant feedback. This has proved to be very successful, allowing the children to manage their learning at school, and, especially lately, connecting with what the rest of the class is doing while at home isolating. As teachers we are continuing to look for ways to improve how this is delivered, making our WorkSpaces easy to manage, engaging and differentiated for different learning needs. We are also continuing to see how the hybrid model can be enhanced to make learning at school or at home, with the teacher or not, is seamless and works for everyone.
