Pōwhiri, World Vision and Art

Pōwhiri:

Last week we welcomed our new tamariki (students) to our kura (school) at our Term 2 Pōwhiri.  Ka pai to our karanga girls Micaella, Madeleine, Helena, Sylvie B, Anabelle G, Greer, Zoe M, Siena W, Millie, Sophia, Laura, Vivienne, Olivia, Sienna BP and our whaikorero boys Theo, Noah T, Oliver H, Edward K, Tommy, Nolan.  

World Vision:

A couple of weeks ago, four of our Year 6 students - Greer, Vivienne, Millie and Sienna attended the World Vision Junior Youth Conference in Lower Hutt with tamariki from around Wellington and the Hutt Valley.  The aim of the conference was to help them grow leadership skills and use that towards helping with positive social action.

Art Trip:

Four of our senior students were lucky enough to spend the morning at Samuel Marsden with their Artist in Residence Marci Tacket.  The students had a fantastic time creating art pieces during the session and enjoyed the experience.
