This term across the school we are having a whole-school inquiry focus on Kaitiakitanga. In Room 3 and 4 we have started with our CAS Capability of CURIOSITY to explore what Kaitiakitanga is, and how we can journey towards being a Kaitiaki. By being curious we 'ask questions and wonder about the world around us'. Recently we explored the concept of connections by asking and wondering about what is important to ourselves and others. We created a 'Kaitiaki Web' in our class to show that by asking, and being curious about others we find that in some way, we are all connected. The connections we made during this activity were; Who has a pet dog? Who loves spending time with their family? Who loves spending time with their friends?
