Admin Cashmere —

Thanks to the staff, whanau and tauira from Roseneath School that joined the CAS community to officially welcome Ms Jensen and our new tamariki and families to Cashmere Avenue at our powhiri on Friday 17 February. Not even a fire alarm dampened the spirits with waiata ringing out across the school while we were waiting for the all clear. Ka rawe all and haere mai Ms Jensen.

The updated curriculum of the RSE – Relationship and Sexuality Education will be rolled out this year. The school will be reaching out with opportunities for community members to learn more about the new curriculum, give feedback and learn about how it will be delivered. Thanks to those who have already engaged with this important work, a survey will be going out to the parents and caregivers shortly with some further information.

We look forward to our community being out in force for our Fun Day on Sunday 26 March. It will be a great opportunity to get everyone together to support the school, have a great family day out and hopefully enjoy some late summer sun. Please get involved in any way you can, we look forward to seeing you there and thanks to the Home and School committee for the awesome mahi! It is great to start 2023 with events in person at school, having meet the teacher events in person and seeing our awesome seniors heading off to camp. After a disrupted couple of years, it is great having that face-to-face connection back! Nau mai, haere mai ki te whānau!

Our building projects are progressing with the usual challenges and frustrations but there has been a lot of good work happening behind the scenes. Thanks everyone for your patience, we appreciate the disruption but look forward to more safe, dry and modern spaces for our tamariki and staff.
