Hybrid Learning

Admin Cashmere —

Hybrid learning is a way of learning that involves learning the same content from a range of different environments e.g. learning from home due to illness or isolating, to learning online at school.

In the Senior Syndicate we use an application called Hapara where teachers are able to set up Workspaces to enable all students to have access to the same resources.

Over the past few months we have been looking at ways that we can make our Workspaces easier to use, as well as more engaging for our learners. This has involved looking at ways to streamline the content, as well as making the Workspace look more fun and enticing.

Here are some comments from children who have been using their critical thinking skills when exploring Hapara and Hybrid learning.

“I like how you put our groups in to help us work” - Archie

“Everything is in its own spot so it can't get mixed up” -Helena

“That it got jazzed up with images” -Deelisa

“I like how it's sorted into the different subjects like maths and reading etc” -Nora

And they even had some advice on how to make it better for them as learners...

“Let us make cards to put our work in it “ -Angus

“Not so much stuff crammed up the top?” -Zoe
