Tuatara visits Year 2 and Year 1s bugs and butterflies day

Spike Visits Year 2:

Sue from Victoria University introduced Spike, the 37 year-old tuatara to our Year 2 students.  They learned about tuataras and asked Sue some tricky questions.  They were even able to touch Spike's spine.  The spine was very soft.  They had to be super quiet while Spike was out of his hut otherwise he would get spooked by the noise.  

Bugs, Butterflies and Beetles:

Our Year 1 students had their bugs, butterflies and beetles day earlier this week with the tamariki dressing up and learning about bugs, butterflies and beetles and incorporating it into their school learning.
