Kia ora Cashmere Parents and Caregivers,
The Cashmere Parents Group would like to continue with our end of the year tradition of supplying the staff with morning tea in appreciation for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
The feedback from the teachers and support staff is fantastic. Therefore it's a lovely way for us to say thank you to all the caring staff that work with our young people and support them in many ways.
The date set for the morning tea this year is Friday 20 October before study leave, exams and graduations.
Calling forward any volunteers that would be able to help by baking a batch of biscuits, slices, muffins, cakes, cupcakes, savouries to heat, crackers, and other things like sushi, fruit or sweet kebabs and dips.
Dietary requirement items such as Dairy Free / Vegan / Gluten Free / Egg free etc options are greatly appreciated.
There are approximately 200 on the staff roll (with 10 tables and two morning tea sittings) so we really do need plenty of support to make this happen. Please email us to let us know you can help.
In an attempt to get a good balance of food could you email chsmorningtea@gmail.com what your intentions are: savoury; cake, gluten-free, vegan or whatever works best for you.
Please note: Your food needs to be dropped off at the school office on the morning of the 20th October. Alternatively, you are welcome to deliver it late afternoon / evening before or if these options don't work we will find a way to receive it.
Please ensure any containers that need to be returned to you are named. We will leave them downstairs at reception for you to collect at the end of the day. Please label your baking if it's gluten-free, vegan, egg free etc. If you could prepare the food ready to be served it would be greatly appreciated.
We are looking for a few volunteers to help us set up or tidy up on the day if you are available. It takes about an hour from 9am onwards to set up and a tidy up will be between 2 and 3pm.
We look forward to hearing from you all and hope that we can again offer a generous morning tea to the incredibly dedicated staff at Cashmere High.
