Year 11
Tē tōia, tē haumatia
Nothing can be achieved without a plan, workforce, and a way of doing things.
Kia ora koutou,
With Term One completed, it is important to celebrate the strong start that this cohort has made overall. Students have been expected to balance study, assessments, sports, and/or other co-curricular commitments, with the vast majority doing a fantastic job so early on in the year. Term 2 will further challenge students' resilience and organisational skills but with perseverance, high levels of attendance, and a willingness to learn I am confident that everyone will see success in and out of the classroom.
Our student council started their planned events by giving students the opportunity to write notes of gratitude to teachers which were delivered on the last day of term. A simple gesture, but one that demonstrated the importance of respect and appreciation and was very well received.
It was fantastic to be able to celebrate so many of our cohort for their achievements this term during our Principal and Head of School assemblies. A special mention to all of our students who challenged and participated in major events across Term 1 such as Summer Tournament Week, Polyfest, Pop Rocks, House Athletics Day, Sheilah Winn, and so many more. Every year, more students are making the most of the opportunities available here at Cashmere. The positive impact this has had on this cohort's maturity and confidence is evident and will continue to help you succeed at school and beyond.
Congratulations to Aleyna Binte Husaini and Nevannah Ashworth for receiving COVE awards this term, they have been role models of our values during their time here and are an asset
