Cashmere High School —

Hello from the CPG team!

We've had a blast putting together talks for Cashmere High School whanau this year.

Term 3 was busy, as we hosted two parent evenings during this term. First up was "Crash, Bash and Beyond - Bad Habits" featuring Canterbury Police, a Community Travel Advisor for Road Safety (focusing on young drivers and motorcycles), an Insurance Advisor, and a Driver Educator. We had lots of students attend and all enjoyed delicious sweet and savoury nibbles & drinks prior to the presentation.

Secondly, we hosted a brilliant talk by The Collaborative Trust called "Supporting and Surviving Our Teens". This was a custom talk put together by Catherine Gallagher, a clinical psychologist. We included hot parenting topics suggested to us by Cashmere High parents, and Catherine put together a valuable presentation for us all. Attendees received the PowerPoint slides via email afterwards, and we received great feedback.

As always, we're on the lookout for new ideas for future talks. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions, suggestions or want to come on board. Please share ideas for talks, or presenters/organizations that you think would benefit our school community.

We started this term with the the annual ‘Thank you’ morning tea for Staff at Cashmere High. Thank you to all who continually support this fantastic way with delicious baking, snacks, sweets and cheese -  to say thank you the Teachers & support staff who do so much for our students.

Keep an eye out for 2025 events - up first in late February will be the Welcome Wine & Cheese evening, with the Student Support Talk in March.
