CHS Foundation – Alumni Highlights
It’s been a vibrant and rewarding start to the year for our alumni community, with a range of events and initiatives that continue to strengthen the connection between past and present students.
New Appointment – Foundation Advancement Manager
To support the growing scale and ambition of our alumni programme, we are thrilled to welcome Rachel Eadie as our new Foundation Advancement Manager. This role will be instrumental in building stronger relationships with alumni, expanding our network, and creating opportunities for past students to reconnect and give back to the school community. It marks an exciting step forward in our alumni engagement efforts, with a focus not just on fundraising, but on strengthening ties across our community. Rachel’s work will help enhance our students' educational experiences through the philanthropic support of families, alumni, and partners who generously contribute their time, services, and donations.
Alumni Breakfast Club Series (ABC)
Now in its second year, the ABC Series continues to grow as a valuable opportunity for Year 12 and 13 students to hear directly from former students about life after school. This term’s guest speakers, professionals from various industries, generously shared career insights, personal journeys, and practical advice that have a lasting impact on our students. These conversations not only provide inspiration but also offer real-world guidance, helping students navigate their own paths after graduation. As an annual fixture, the ABC Series fosters meaningful connections across generations of our school community, ensuring that students gain valuable perspectives from those who have walked the same path before them.
Class of 2015 – 10-Year Reunion
We were thrilled to welcome back the Class of 2015 for their 10-Year Reunion this term. It was a fantastic evening of reconnection and reminiscing as former classmates caught up over shared memories and school tours. The event had great energy, with lots of laughter and plenty of appreciation for how far everyone has come since their school days.
Charlie Murray – World Champion and Changemaker
Charlie Murray, world champion mountain biker and proud alumnus, returned to speak at a Year 11 assembly this term. Charlie generously donated his rainbow jersey from the 2022 World Championships—an extraordinary symbol of hard work, resilience, and international success. In addition to his sporting achievements, Charlie is the founder of WeAreGritt, a charity focused on mental health and wellbeing. His message to students about overcoming challenges, staying grounded, and using your platform for good left a lasting impression on everyone in the room. The rainbow jersey will be proudly displayed at school as a lasting source of inspiration.
As the alumni programme continues to grow, we are grateful for the enthusiasm and support of our past students.
