Who's who at Cashmere
Kia ora whānau
Ko Les Wilson tōku ingoa
Ko Tuahiwi te marae
Ko Ngāi Tahu te iwi
Kia ora, my name is Les Wilson, I am currently the Property Manager at Cashmere High. I have been in this role for over two years.
I am originally from Invercargill but have called Christchurch home for close to twenty years despite still managing to roll my R’s.
I have a wonderful wife Rebecca who is a Kaihautū Whakaako/Deputy Principal at another Kura on the East of Christchurch, no escape from the school chat for us.
I have five tamariki, Joseph, Reuben, Brooklyn, Sienna and Grayson. aging from 10- 18 years.
Previously I worked in two other kura on the East Side of Christchurch which I loved, but was excited to move to Cashmere for this role.
My job entails managing the day to day running of all things property, whether it be organising contractors, overseeing property projects and even restocking the soap in the toilets!
I love my job as no two days are ever the same, my role has a lot of variety but the best thing is I work alongside a great team that does the best for our kids and community.
The kura has changed over the short period that I have been here and with the final stages of the projects moving towards completion I am excited to see how the kura will look and feel in the years to come.
Ngā mihi
Les
