As we welcome 2023, with so much happening in the last weeks of Term it is important to also acknowledge the incredible achievements and exciting events which rounded off 2022.

Congratulations to all involved in the stunning performances for the Dance showcase and October music finals and amazing work on display for the Folio evening.

This fantastic Mural was completed at the very end of Term 4. We were invited by Cracroft Residents Association to submit designs to replace a mural which had been on the site in Waipara Playground for nearly 17 years! Art Club students sprung into action producing a number of wonderful ideas. The residents chose this beautiful design by Year 10 student Tamar. The mural was completed by Tamar, Ngaio, Jaksyn, Maeva, Jess, Molly, Sophia, Cairo, Fern, Maggie & Zhimo over a period of 4 days with our amazing property team supplying scaffolding each day. The images below show the development of the work.

We introduced a Peoples’ Choice Vote for the first time at the Art Folio evening in Term 4 and this inaugural award was a draw! Congratulations to Zach and Tilly whose work received exactly the same number of votes.

• Actor of the Year - Diego Damoco
• Dancer of Year - Amelie Durie
• Musician of the Year - Orla Dunlop
• Arts Person of the Year - Sadie McLoughlin (the other nominees were Diego Damoco, Orla Dunlop and Isaac Macdonald)

• Feb 13th – 17th Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Auditions
• Feb 16th Show Quest Auditions
• Feb 20th - 24th Drama/Dance Activities begin
