Property Redevelopment: Update

Gavin Burn —

Please find below an update from our project manager, David Kolien.

“HRS Construction has made good progress with the construction of the New Learning Hub and are 'on programme'. The metal roof sheets were installed mid-October allowing the carpenters to install the first floor timber wall partitions ‘in the dry’. The concrete first floor balcony has been poured and the handrails and balustrades are now ordered for the balcony and various staircases. Thermal insulation has been fitted into the external walls, and cables and pipes for the ground and first floor services (power, data, smoke detectors, water, sewer pipes etc.) are currently being installed into the wall and ceiling cavities before they are lined and painted. Most of the external windows and doors have been installed and the internal doors have been delivered to site. The toilets, wash hand basins, hand dryers, light fittings and joinery items are ordered and due to be delivered and installed late-December/ mid-January. HRS Construction has also been busy planning the external works including trees, planter boxes, footpaths and drinking fountains and aim to compete as much of this work as possible in time for the grand opening.”

Please find attached a few photos taken on 9th November.
