Cubbin Theatre Company
Sportsball, to be held in the Cloisters Studio at Te Matariki Toi Ora, The Arts Centre next week.
Cubbin Theatre Company makes special theatre and music experiences designed for babies and very young children. Thanks to Creative New Zealand, we are over half way through our programme of theatre and music experiences at The Arts Centre.
Our Sportsball season begins next week: Thursday 29 August and runs until Sunday 1 September. Shows at 10am, 11.30am Thursday and Friday, and 10am and 1pm Saturday and Sunday.
Sportsball is the story of Tai, a young child with an active inner world and an active outer world. Tai loves playing and watching sports with his dad and he loves his big red ball. He can do lots of amazing tricks with his ball but when a game at a birthday party doesn’t go his way, Tai has to work through his feelings and find a way to move through a difficult situation with the help of his dad, his friends and his imagination. We created this show for 4-6 year olds but everyone is welcome!
Directed by Melanie Luckman with design by Rosie Gilmore, original music by Amy Straker and Nathan Straker and featuring performer Christopher Alan Moore.
Please share around your community - this is a great one to bring dads and grandads to, to celebrate them on Father's Day!
