Thanks from the Matai Team

Lyn White —

In 2017 the year in Matai has flown by ….

We have had an extremely busy year of exciting learning and we could not have achieved this without our awesome parents’ support.

Matai parents have helped to make our camp run smoothly, feeding, watering and encouraging our children to step outside their comfort zone by experiencing new activities at Living Springs Camp.

In addition to this you supported us during Seaweek, when we learned tips to ‘Save the Sand Dunes,’ whilst also providing materials to support their Inquiry where they built their cities in ‘Collaborative Construction.’

The CPS Charity fair saw children share their expertise in the ‘Bake Off’ competition, raising money to support charities. Their entries were visually appealing and tasted delicious.

Arbor Day was another opportunity to get outside and get muddy. Every year the Year 5 children and parents go to Victoria Park and plant trees that will be there in future years.

We were able to send teams to the Winter Sports Tournament for Soccer, Hockey and Netball with the aid of our dedicated transporters and referees, and all teams had a great day out. This doesn’t happen without your support.

Thank you also to the Reading Mileage tutors who helped children in the Matai team.

Special thanks to all our wonderful parents who enable their children to strive to be the best they can be.
