Cashmere Primary Te Pae Kererū Cross Country 2018
Read about the 2018 CPTPK Cross Country, including the top 5 results on the day.
Dear Whanaū,
Thank you all for an amazing Cross Country!
We really appreciate all of the support that we had during the day, especially our helpers who took time out of their schedule to marshal races, serve sausages and support our children throughout their races.
We would like to give a very big thanks to our friends from Mike Pero on Cashmere Road, Dale Roche and Linds Welch for all their efforts with the sausage sizzle. They gave their time freely, supplying and cooking up the sausages and we would not have been able to raise the funds we did without their help. With the support of Dale and the staff at Mike Pero we were able to raise $780 towards school sport equipment. This is an opportunity to also give a very big thank you to our parent helpers on the sausage sizzle, which did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated.
We are so proud of the efforts of our Cashmere Primary Te Pae Kererū athletes, whether they were gunning for a top 10 finish or just in it to get over that finish line. Everyone contributed to a relaxed community feel down at Halswell Quarry.
We apologise for the marshalling error during the Year 5 boys race which resulted in the need to re-run the race at the end of the day. We would like to congratulate the Year 5 boys who demonstrated resilience and grit as they coped with this change.
Below is a list of the children who were in our top 5 for their race. Those who are in the top 3 and are year 5-8 will be going to South West Zones Cross Country to represent CPTPK.
We will be congratulating all of our top 3 competitors in an upcoming assembly on their achievements.
