On Wednesday the 1st of November, futsal players travelled in cars to South Hagley park to compete in a summer tournament against multiple teams

There were two teams representing Cashmere Primary; Cashmere White and Cashmere Blue. In Cashmere White futsal players were Benjamin Gillespie, Sam Johns, Spencer Pearson, Santi Monasterio-Marcos, Stephen Tonkin, James McRobie and Benjamin Lee. Cashmere white played against Avonhead Primary, Prebbleton B, Cotswold A. We played each team twice, apart from Avonhead who we played once which resulted in 5 games. Our final result was fifth out of 8 teams, 4 of which were from the other pool. We would like to thank to Maria (Santi’s mum) and Emma (Sam’s mum) for driving some of our team there. We’d also like to give a huge thank you to Kelly (Stephen’s dad) and Mr Grenfell for taking some players and helping out all day. We enjoyed the whole day and it was an incredible experience and would like this to happen every year!
